Description (Spoilery if you haven't read book 2): War has begun. Arin is in the thick of it, with the East as his ally and the empire as his enemy. He’s finally managed to dismiss the memory of Kestrel, even if he can’t quite forget her. Kestrel turned into someone he could no longer recognize: someone who cared more for the empire than for the lives of innocent people—and certainly more than she cared for him. At least, that’s what he thinks.
But far north lies a work camp where Kestrel is a prisoner. Can she manage to escape before she loses herself? As the war intensifies, both Kestrel and Arin discover unexpected roles in battle, terrible secrets, and a fragile hope. The world is changing. The East is pitted against the West, and Kestrel and Arin are caught between. In a game like this, can anybody really win?
The second line of The Winner's Kiss…
At first, there wasn’t time for thoughts that came in the shape of words.
And I'm dead. Is everyone else as desperate for this book as I am?
You can find a few more details in the cover reveal article.
I'm clinging to that 'fragile hope!'

ReplyDeleteThe cover is gorgeous! I'm so excited and scared for The Winner's Kiss! I'm in the middle of The Winner's Crime and it's a rollercoaster!
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with this cover! :)
ReplyDeleteThe cover is AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I am so dead too! The cover is gorgeous, and I"m so nervous for everything!! I hope Arin and Kestrel get to be happy in the end, they both deserve it so much...
ReplyDelete*dies* I want this book SO bad!
ReplyDeleteI love the cover, it is so pretty and is a really nice color.
ReplyDeleteUgh, Marie's writing is so wonderful. And when I say "ugh", I mean that in the best of ways. I cannot to read this book! I like the UK cover better (the green is nice). But I'll need a copy of this one matter the cover. I JUST NEED IT OKAY?!?! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!
oh man, I have a bad feeling that it's Kestrels thoughts after the end of the second book.
ReplyDeleteI love the cover, but I wish she was reaching for the sword instead of her neck. Be more fierce Kestrel!
Oh, yes. They're definitely trying to kill us with those covers.
ReplyDeleteI am clinging to that too, L! I'm terrified to read Arin's perspective at the beginning of this book.. I don't want him to think so negatively of Kestrel. *sigh* This series stresses me out.
ReplyDeleteI like the cover but don't love it! I wish they would have continued to have the sideward title like they did on the first book that was my favorite thing about that cover!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I am most nervous about Kestrel and Arin,... I need them to have a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteThe cover is absolutely gorgeous! I love that they all match!! I'm really nervous for a HEA :S

Such a gorgeous blog post Lauren. <3 I'm so happy for you that you got to take part in this one :D Though so jealous too, lol, as Macmillan never lets me take part in things to do with this series :( Sobs. Don't they know of my love? Hmph. But anyway :D Your line is gorgeous! I love it. Sigh. I'm so dying for this book :) And the cover is oh so pretty. <3 Thank you so much for sharing about it sweetie :) You are awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe cover is lovely! I love the dresses. But even more, I am excited for what is inside!
ReplyDeleteI love this cover, but I do think the first one is the best. I like the way the title overlaps the picture.
ReplyDeleteI think this last cover is gorgeous, probably because of the color, since all the covers are great! I really like the consistency between them, and the fact that they decided to pick a color for every cover!!

I'm sooo excited! I like the cover, but I love the Winner's Crime the best, so I'm a little sad that it didn't follow the same style with the text across the front. And I'm a little sad that the title isn't something with the letter C, haha. But seriously, those teasers are awesome. March is too far away! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThe do quite like the cover but I think I like the UK one better because COLOUR CHOICE! I do think that the first and second one are much more creative though, with the girl holding the R and the sword that make up the title.
ReplyDeleteThe cover is just gorgeous, love the original cover, but the red dress looks more powerful, love it
ReplyDeleteThe cover matches so well with the entire series!! I think i liked Winner's Crime cover the best mainly because of the colours. I'm so nervous for the entire book and seeing how everything will resolve. Mostly I can't wait to read how Kestrel has survived the ordeal from the end of book 2.
